The 1956 Bel Air was restyled with a face lift with a full width grill and a lot more chrome. Gm called it the HOT-ROD in their advertising due to more horsepower. This 1956 Bel Air convertible certainly fits that statement. It is powered by what appears to be a period correct 265 small block V-8 with 2 four barrel carburetors a Bat Wing air cleaner. and a 3 speed column shift manual transmission. It is equipped with power steering power brakes power top (works) and an after market AM/FM radio .....

The classic two tone paint is very attractive done in Adobe Beige and Sierra Gold. The beautiful bumpers full size grill and the stainless work are all in excellent condition.
